The global XR industry will focus on Guangzhou! The 2026 World VR/AR/XR/MR Industry and Smart Glasses Exhibition will grandly open in May at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex. As the annual flagship event in the global XR field, this exhibition, under the theme 'Virtual and Real Coexistence · Intelligent Innovation for the Future', will bring together the world's leading cutting-edge technologies and top enterprises, becoming the core engine for driving the upgrade of China's 350 billion yuan XR industry ecosystem.

 
According to the latest IDC forecast data, by 2026, the global AR/VR investment scale will exceed 128.8 billion US dollars, with the Chinese market accounting for over one-third, forming a burgeoning industry worth 350 billion yuan. This exhibition is being held in Guangzhou, leveraging the well-developed electronic information industry chain in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the global trade platform resources of the Canton Fair, to create an international exchange hub integrating technology display, industry matching and achievement transformation. The total exhibition area is expected to reach 50,000 square meters, a 40% increase over similar exhibitions, attracting over 800 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including invited global industry leaders such as Meta, Pico, Huawei and Thunderbird Innovation, as well as nearly 100 specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises.
 
In terms of technology demonstrations, the exhibition will feature three main themed areas: the "Core Technology Hall," the "Industry Application Hall," and the "Consumer Terminal Hall," covering the entire XR industry chain. Visitors can experience the world's first VR headset with a replaceable optical engine on-site, with a single-eye resolution of up to 3840×3840, accurately recreating professional scenarios such as high-risk driving training and aerospace simulation; there are also enterprises that will unveil full-colour Micro-LED waveguide AR glasses with a volume of only 0.36 cubic centimetres and a peak brightness exceeding 5000 nits, effectively addressing the rainbow interference problem of traditional devices. In addition, AR devices for hearing assistance, lens-free glasses for first-person sports recording, and clip-on translation glasses for myopia adaptation will also be showcased. Among them, the hearing assistance devices use voice-to-text technology with 95% accuracy, allowing hearing-impaired individuals to "see" the audible world, demonstrating the humanistic warmth of XR technology.
 
The industry matchmaking segment is also full of highlights. During the exhibition, the "XR AI Global Industry Summit" will be held, focusing on cutting-edge topics such as spatial computing and the integration of large AI models. The organising committee has specially arranged a "Trade Bridge" pairing event, which is expected to facilitate technology cooperation and purchase orders worth over 20 billion yuan, with a focus on key application areas such as industrial simulation, medical surgical navigation, and immersive cultural tourism experiences.
 
As the venue for the exhibition, the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou has launched an upgrade to its intelligent services, relying on a newly developed exhibition app to provide booth-level navigation, intelligent exhibition route planning, real-time trade negotiations, and other functions, while simultaneously opening an online cloud exhibition hall to achieve a dual-mode integration of "offline experience and online connection." A relevant official from the organising committee stated that this exhibition is not only a showcase for technological achievements but also a platform for integrating global XR industry resources, helping Guangzhou become a national hub for XR industry innovation and injecting new momentum into high-quality development of the digital economy.
